Breed felt worse than a horse with a burr under its saddle. He'd woken that morning with Jess curled around him tighter than barbed wire fence and panicked. He'd never been one to be tied down. After careful thought, he figured if he didn't hightail it out of there before she woke and he took her again, he may as well kiss his freedom goodbye. He hated hurting her and knew when she woke and found him gone, she'd be madder than a wet hornet at him for using her. The trouble was he hadn't just used her. He loved every minute of making love to her, touching her, kissing her, becoming one with her. Damn it, he wanted her right now. His cock pressed against his pants, demanding him to go get her and make her his once again. He slowed his horse and turned to look back at the miles he had traveled. He just couldn't. It was best to keep on going and enjoy the life he had. No commitments, no one to call his own, no one to worry about but himself.
