I smiled my sweetest womanly smile from the throbbing chair, as the door slid closed behind him. He was tongue-tied, of course.

"Good morning, Barret," (I know every name in the Institute; impressive, most impressive, unless you know about the skull-mike) "I understand you've something to tell me? Please sit down."

Barret, too young and too awed, made obeisance and sat: he placed his box on the desk-edge and stammered across its top.

"I awah-awah-awah--"

"Take your time," I suggested, turning my hearing up by a few dB and poking the bar switch. He jerked back as a tumbler of best jap Scotch erupted from the desk before him.

"Ahhh, ah, I've been doing some work on the emtee problem, Archphysicist Ellan, and..." As he dried up again, he fumbled with the box now capitalized to Box, Black. Because I do not leave this room, all these things must come to me; whether in reality or via CC3V link depends upon sizes and circumstances.
