The bright pink wrapping screamed out from the pastel greens and grey-whites. Even the package was thicker, chunkier. Just the right size to fit snugly into a ten-year-old's palm. Newt's own palm was itching. Digging into the left pocket of his windbreaker, he hauled out a handful of change. Frowning, he carefully picked out the piece of lint and counted the pennies, nickels and dimes, then looked back at the display in front of him. The neatly-lettered cardboard taped to the front of the rows of candy mocked him silently. Not enough. Almost--but not enough.
