Rebekah groaned. Not only from the sight she had just seen, but from what she was about to do. She adjusted her bag of new clothes on her shoulder and walked into the open circle.
"Sirs, please, I believe she has had enough," Rebekah said in her most innocent voice. Sometimes honey gets you further than a sting, Rebekah thought, as she smiled at the two soldiers.
"How dare you tell me when she's had enough, you little whelp," the man roared, turning his attention to Rebekah. "I'll teach you a lesson in manners as well, girl," the soldier said furiously, moving quickly toward Rebekah.
I guess this isn't one of those honey times, Rebekah thought with a sigh. She took a deep breath and weighed her situation. The two men were in full guards armor, covered from head to toe. She could not, nor would not, use her sword against them. It was one thing to kill in self-defense; it was another to use a sword when no weapons had been drawn. No, this was definitely not going to be easy. Not impossible, she thought, just not easy.
