"But I wouldn't have been killed--" Rawlins swallowed hard. His voice stopped working. Feniston put a hand on his shoulder, but Rawlins shook it off. "I suppose if I'd been out there, you'd have let me lie there and fry?" "I hope to God that decision never comes up," Feniston said steadily.
