eBook Description: Sir William is a battle-weary, eighteen year-old knight who recently inherited his dead father's castle and must journey five days to claim it. He uses two swords to quickly defeat his enemies, but when his king, his best friend, his aunt, a shepherd girl he has never met, and even his dead parents secretly plot against him, he must make his own plans to outsmart them all. With all the deception, hidden plans, and twists of fate around him, everyone ultimately has the same goal--to help William find his own destiny in a place called the Blackwoods.

"Tie her left hand," I ordered. "Then hand me the loose end." "I held her until he finished. I grabbed the strap and finally managed to roll her over. After much effort, I tied her hands. Never had I seen so much strength in such a small woman. I sat on her and reached my hand out. John placed the second strap in it. It took a great effort, but I finally tied her feet and got up. Rachel rolled on her back, but could not rise. I stood straddle her and looked down on her. She had remained silent the whole affair. Now, her hardened, angry glare was enough to kill ten strong men at a distance of a full league. I ignored it. "I slowly began to draw my sword out. Rachel started to panic and began to squirm. I put my dirty boot on her stomach and stilled her movements. Her angry eyes got wider and wider. "John, hold her hair out," I again ordered and he quickly obeyed. "Rachel, the Good Book says 'an eye for an eye.' Now, it is hair for hair!"
